CSDI and CDCPL Further Strengthen Ties Via Joint Risk & Recovery Management Workshop
CSDI and CDC Pakistan hold a series of virtual joint workshops focused on risk and recovery management.
Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI) and Central Depository Company of Pakistan (CDCPL) have conducted a series of virtual joint workshops focused on risk and recovery management. This collaboration was initiated during the Asia-Pacific CSD Group’s Cross Training Seminar held in Hong Kong earlier this year.
On the sidelines of the seminar, Siavash Azimi, CSDI’s International Relations Director and Corporate Secretary, and Faisal Parekh, CDCPL’s Operations & Customer Services Manager, discussed the organization of virtual risk management workshops, marking the beginning of a series of collaborative efforts. Since then, the two organizations have held three online meetings to exchange experiences and insights on risk management issues.
CDCPL serves as the convener of the Risk & Recovery Management Committee within ACG and CSDI plans to develop a comprehensive risk management framework aimed at enhancing its risk management capabilities.
The joint workshops and continued collaboration are expected to strengthen the ties between CSDI and CDCPL, both of which are leading central securities depositories and members of the ACG Executive Committee, representing ACG on the board of the World Forum of CSDs (WFC).
The partnership between CSDI and CDCPL dates back to 2013 when they signed a Memorandum of Understanding to formalize their cooperation. This enduring relationship underscores their mutual commitment to fostering regional cooperation between the capital markets of both countries.
