CSDI Participates in FEAS Extraordinary General Assembly

Central Securities Depository of Iran, a FEAS Audit Committee member, participates in the Federation's Extraordinary General Assembly meeting via video communication.

Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) held its 39th Extraordinary General Assembly meeting on Thursday, 19 September 2024, in Orchid, North Macedonia.

Central Securities Depository of Iran participated through the Director of International Relations department, Siavash Azimi, via video communication.

During the meeting, several topics were discussed related to the restructuring of the FEAS including the proposal submitted by the Federation’s General Secretariat to expand the basis of membership in the Federation, change the name of the Federation, and make the necessary legislative amendments to the internal regulations of the Federation.

Additionally, topics related to the infrastructure of financial markets and mechanisms for developing capital markets were addressed by unifying efforts under the umbrella of FEAS, and providing a unified and strong platform that works to enhance the scope and influence of each member, ensuring the strengthening of relations that lead to influential and long-term partnerships.

FEAS is a non-profit international organization comprising stock exchanges and CSDs mostly from Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia.

The purpose of the Federation is to contribute to the cooperation, development, support and promotion of capital markets in Eurasia, although membership in the Federation is open to markets internationally.

Established in 1995, the FEAS has currently 43 members including stock exchanges, post trade institutions, dealers associations, and regional federations from over 30 countries.
