Central Securities Depository Of IRAN

Central Securities Depository of Iran meets a delegation from the Syrian Commission on Financial Markets and Securities on the sidelines of the 15^th International Forum on Islamic Capital Markets (ICM) in Tehran.

CSDI Chief Executive Officer, Mohammad Baghestani and International Relations Directions and Corporate Secretary, Siavash Azimi, were present at the meeting during which they discussed various issues of mutual interest with Chairman of the board of commissioners at the SCFMS, Abdul Razak Kassem and Member of the Board, Hussein Kabalan.

The two sides conferred about issuance of Islamic Debt Securities (Sukuk) including the relevant rules and regulations, service provider entities, business processes, planning, etc.

Later in the meeting, the CSDI international relations director, delivered a presentation, introducing Central Securities Depository of Iran i.e. CSDI's role and status in the capital market, organizational chart, its major shareholders, services it offers to the stakeholders, membership in international organizations, cooperation agreements and finally venues of joint-venture cooperation between Iran and Syria.

The CSDI meanwhile expressed readiness to expand cooperation with the Syrian Commission on Financial Markets and Securities in the fields of infrastructure and software provision, capital market and CSD linkage of the two nations.
