CSDI Contributes to Panels, Discussions at 25th ACG Annual General Meeting
CSDI participates in 25th Annual General Meeting of Asia-Pacific CSD Group, contributes to panel discussion in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI) attended the 25th Annual General Meeting of the Asia-Pacific CSD Group (ACG25) which was hosted by the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC).
This year the event on a theme of “CSDs' Initiatives in Line with Global Investment Trends” took place in the coastal city of Da Nang on October 17-20, 2023.
This event brought together more than 150 participants, including delegates from ACG member countries representing over 30 nations, offering a unique platform of regional dialog and knowledge sharing on ACG agenda, business strategies, industry trends, pain points, best practices and new tech solutions.
The participants discussed global investment trends, as well as ideas and opportunities arising in conditions of high volatility in the stock market.
CSDI CEO Senior Consultant, Hossein Mohammadi and International Relations Director and Corporate Secretary, Siavash Azimi were among the panelists and speakers of the main event and Task Force sessions.
Hossein Mohammadi made a speech in the panel discussion of the Annual General Meeting of ACG dedicated to the topic "CSDs’ initiatives for faster and more secure businesses in the context of high volatility".
In the course of discussion, held in the form of questions/answers session, the CSDI CEO Senior Consultant answered the questions raised by the audience.
Meanwhile, during the "Investor Services" TF Breakout Session, Siavash Azimi delivered a presentation regarding the CSDI's novel system on issuing "Financial Ability e-Certificate".
Earlier in the day in the New Business Initiative Task Force Breakout Session, the International Relations Director, provided a comprehensive presentation on introducing CSDI's "Preemption Rights e-Certificate," an initiative to modernize capital engagement.
Asia-Pacific CSD Group (ACG) is an association of Central Securities Depositories in the Asia-Pacific region. Its main goal is to establish cooperation relationships in various sectors to improve the efficiency of clearing and settlement activities.
The ACG was established in November 1997 to facilitate information exchange and mutual support between securities depositories and clearing organizations in the Asia-Pacific region. Central Securities Depository of Iran joined ACG in September 2012.
