CSDI Donates Quality Used Office Items to Low-Income Students at Charity Schools
CSDI donates quality office items to charity schools in less-privileged areas as part of office refurbishment project during transition to new headquarters.
Central Securities Depository of Iran relocated its headquarters in the capital Tehran in September 2023.
We did our utmost to reduce the environmental impact of our office refurbishment project during transition to new premises by donating our quality unwanted furniture.
As a result, we were able to give a second life to a large amount of our office furniture products through reuse or donation to charity and make a real difference in the lives of many, reduce the carbon footprint of the CSDI's transition project and most importantly boost our ESG credentials.
Since education is one of the focus areas for CSDI’s social impact and corporate responsibility platform, we donated our quality office items to charity schools facing tight budgets supporting children who grow up in low-income households.
In a gesture of adulation, the director of the Charity Schools Association, Nasser Ghofli, in a meeting on Tuesday January 16 2023 with CSDI Chief Financial & Administrative Officer (CFAO), Reza Nouhi Hefzabad, commended Central Securities Depository of Iran for donating facilities to schools with students residing in low-income urban areas of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces southwest of the country.
The Commendation Certificate reads that "Now that thanks to the efforts by people who support charitable causes, building schools and equipping them for the less privileged students has turned into a promising phenomenon in the country, the Association considers it a duty to sincerely appreciate the generosity and goodwill of Central Securities Depository of Iran and hails your efforts."
In addition to a lack of resources, there are certain structural limitations that affect students in low-income areas. The CSDI has always worked to diminish education inequality by any means for schools in low-income areas that might otherwise have difficulty continuing their studies.
