SEO Hosts Exhibition to Showcase Breakthroughs by CSDI and Other Capital Market Entities at Parliament House
The Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) holds a poster exhibition at the Iranian Parliament 6-9 August, 2023.
In an effort to highlight noteworthy accomplishments within the country's capital market, the Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) has organized an exhibition at the Iranian Parliament grounds in downtown Tehran on Sunday, August 6th, 2023.
This pioneering expo aims to serve as an informative platform, allowing each key segment of the market to convey valuable financial insights to legislators. The event is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the current status of the capital market and its progress.
Scheduled to span three days from August 6th to August 9th, 2023, the exhibition is anticipated to attract a sizeable group of Members of Parliament (MPs) during its inauguration. This provides an exclusive platform for the MPs to interact directly with notable personalities such as Mohammad Baghestani, the CEO of the Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI), and Majid Eshghi, Chairman of Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO). Additionally, senior officials representing other major entities within the market will also be in attendance, further enriching the experience for the MPs by offering them an unparalleled opportunity to acquire firsthand insights into the latest trends and developments that are shaping the capital market.
Central Securities Depository of Iran, often referred to as the "memory" of the capital market, holds a central position among the key components of the Iranian capital market. It is responsible for the registration, safekeeping, and management of shareholders' identities and assets. CSDI is prominently featured in the poster exhibit, representing the vital core of clearing and settlement operations within the market.
The primary objective of this exposition is to enhance the financial literacy and understanding of parliamentarians. By doing so, they can more effectively formulate informed and systematic regulatory measures, thereby enhancing the quality of their decisions and promoting transparency within the regulatory framework governing the capital market. This initiative seeks to contribute to the overall effectiveness and transparency of the capital market's regulatory system.
